1 + 1 = Twice As Clever

We started Twice As Clever because we kept getting hired separately to do things the other one also does really well. At some point it made more sense to be one company than two people pretending they hadn't compared notes.

Between us, we cover the full arc of making something: the idea, the words, the visuals, the build, and — because it's who we are — the joke.

We specialize in comedy, which means we take the work seriously and everything else with a grain of salt. Clients tend to find this refreshing. Or they find us exhausting. Either way, the work gets done.

We're based wherever the Wi-Fi holds. We work with small businesses, independent creators, and anyone who needs something built by people who actually give a damn about it.

Andrew Delman

Andrew Delman

Co-Founder

Andrew is an actor, comedian, web developer, and photographer — roughly in the order he discovered he was good at them. A UC Irvine Theater Arts graduate, he's performed at The Groundlings, UCB, The Comedy Store, and The Hollywood Improv, where he hosts a sold-out monthly comedy show: Delman's Definitely Not Star Search.

On the screen side, you've seen him on Mayans M.C. (FX), House of Lies (Showtime), Mini Mocs (Comedy Central) or maybe in one of the over 100 national commercials he's appeared in. He also voices many characters on The Most Popular Girls In School. On the build side, he makes websites that don't embarrass people and photos that don't look like stock art. He's also a contributor to the LA Times. His approach to every brief is "yes, we can do that" — which is either a great philosophy or a liability. Usually both.

Lee Newton

Co-Founder

Lee is a comedian, actress, writer, and — not to bury the lede — an NBC game show champion. As one of the original co-hosts of SourceFed (among YouTube's first 100 premium channels), she spent years turning the internet's daily news cycle into something people actually wanted to watch.

She then co-founded The Valleyfolk, a sketch comedy group that won the inaugural season of NBC's Bring the Funny — beating a national field of comedians, taking home $250,000, and earning the approval of Kenan Thompson, Chrissy Teigen, and Jeff Foxworthy. A Groundlings Sunday Company alumna, she's also appeared on Tosh.0, Comedy Central, and voiced characters in animated series. She's the one in the room who makes it land.

Collaboration

We treat your project like it matters, because it does. We communicate clearly and often — no ghosting, no surprises.

Craft

We're not a content farm. Every deliverable is made by actual humans (us) who care about quality over quantity.

Comedy

Not everything needs to be a laugh, but almost everything benefits from some lightness. We know the difference.
